Transportation Coordinator

About the role

This position offers the opportunity to support the transportation needs of residents at Macon HealthCare Center, enhancing their daily lives and ensuring they receive necessary medical and social services.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and set up appointments for residents
• Transport residents to medical and social appointments
• Maintain strict client confidentiality

Requirements

• Valid State Driver's License
• Pass a Chauffeur's license test and background check
• CPR/AED Certified (help available)
• Own a smartphone
• No physical impairment preventing safe driving or performing essential job functions
• Ability to read, write, and converse in English
• Proficiency in using a GPS/technology system, reading and understanding road maps
• Able to lift and/or pull up to 50 pounds
• Able to assist passengers into and out of the vehicle, including pushing a loaded wheelchair
• Able to climb in and out of the vehicle
• Able to bend and reach to properly secure wheelchairs or stretchers inside the vehicle
• Able to sit for long periods of time depending on duration of transportation
