About the role

The purpose of this position is to coordinate all aspects of Transportation & school wide events, providing leadership and expertise to align with the school's mission, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Change address/phone numbers in PowerSchool
  • Update transportation in PowerSchool
  • Request new bus stops & communicate to parents
  • Clean out dead stops
  • Resolve bus issues with parents and HAP
  • Request field trip buses
  • Request sports/afterschool buses
  • Make weekly bus checklist
  • Update routes based on changes
  • Transportation state report
  • Bus pass
  • Bus evacuation/safety
  • Summer school busses
  • All other school related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer operation, applications, data entry and retrieval
  • Knowledge of office procedures, practices and policies
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Knowledge of the program, functions, and procedures of a school setting
  • An explicit understanding of the Academy vision in relation to high expectations and high stakes and the importance of high quality events
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • The stamina and energy required to work long hours when required
  • The ability to work effectively with all staff members
  • The ability to pay close attention to details
  • The ability to work well under pressure and make responsible decisions quickly

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Administration, Business or equivalent of experience may be considered
