About the role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate all aspects of Transportation & school wide events, providing leadership and expertise to align with the school's mission, goals, and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Change address/phone numbers in PowerSchool
- Update transportation in PowerSchool
- Request new bus stops & communicate to parents
- Clean out dead stops
- Resolve bus issues with parents and HAP
- Request field trip buses
- Request sports/afterschool buses
- Make weekly bus checklist
- Update routes based on changes
- Transportation state report
- Bus pass
- Bus evacuation/safety
- Summer school busses
- All other school related duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer operation, applications, data entry and retrieval
- Knowledge of office procedures, practices and policies
- Knowledge of first aid procedures
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Knowledge of the program, functions, and procedures of a school setting
- An explicit understanding of the Academy vision in relation to high expectations and high stakes and the importance of high quality events
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- The stamina and energy required to work long hours when required
- The ability to work effectively with all staff members
- The ability to pay close attention to details
- The ability to work well under pressure and make responsible decisions quickly
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Administration, Business or equivalent of experience may be considered
