Transportation Coordinator

About the role

This position offers the opportunity to support the transportation needs of residents at Macon HealthCare Center, enhancing their daily lives and providing a vital service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and set up appointments for residents
• Transport residents to medical, social, and other necessary appointments
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding resident information

Requirements

• Valid State Driver's License
• Pass a Chauffeur's license test and background check
• CPR/AED Certified (training provided)
• Own a smartphone
• No physical impairment that would prevent safe driving or performing essential job functions
• Ability to read, write, and converse in English
• Proficiency in using a GPS/technology system, reading and understanding road maps
• Able to lift and/or pull up to 50 pounds and assist passengers into and out of the vehicle
• Able to climb in and out of the vehicle
• Able to bend and reach to properly secure wheelchairs or stretchers inside the vehicle
• Able to sit for long periods of time depending on the duration of transportation
