Transportation Consultant
About the role
Porsesh Policy Research Institute (PR) seeks a Transport Consultant to develop a culturally sensitive presentation about King County’s transportation systems and resources for immigrant and refugee communities. The consultant will engage with stakeholders to ensure the presentation is culturally appropriate and accessible.
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and visually appealing presentation covering:
- Overview of King County’s Transportation System
- Navigating Transit
- Accessibility Options
- Safe Commuting Tips
- Community Transportation Resources
- Green Travel Options
- Addressing Barriers
- Ensure materials are accessible in multiple languages and formats, considering diverse literacy levels.
- Engage with stakeholders, including immigrant families, community organizations, and local transit authorities, to ensure cultural sensitivity and relevance.
- Incorporate feedback from project leads and stakeholders.
- Provide materials for a presentation adaptable for both in-person and virtual delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation, migration, or community development.
- Strong knowledge of King County’s transportation systems and challenges faced by immigrant populations.
- Excellent presentation design and communication skills, with expertise in culturally responsive approaches.
- Ability to engage with diverse communities and incorporate their input effectively.
- A high work ethic, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Qualifications
