Transportation Construction Inspector (Entry-Level)

About the role

This position is an entry-level opportunity to join HDR's South Carolina Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team. You will perform construction engineering and inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects, adhering to SCDOT policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Materials testing
• Construction observation
• Reporting
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Identifying discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Enforcement of contract documents
• Night and/or weekend work may be required as dictated by client project needs

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and communication skills
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with applicable state law
• SCDOT experience preferred
