Transportation Clerk, 1st Shift

As a Transportation Clerk, you’ll become a part of this mission by providing administrative support to our transportation team.

$18.00 / hour

Schedule

1st Shift - Sunday - Thursday from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Maintaining records on the destination, weight, and charges on all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Performing data entry, labeling, and filing, generating import files, assisting with the tracking and expediting of freight, and freight and broker invoice auditing
• Ensuring the accuracy of rate charges by verifying the classification of materials with the rate schedule
• Monitoring pending shipments related to the shipping schedules of purchases issued and updating the traffic record system
• Confirming the information, providing product information, resolving problems, determining the method of shipment and shipping items, and maintaining records
• Scanning or hand-entering information into a computer
• Creating bills of lading, shipment reports, and processing incoming and outgoing shipment records
• Maintaining records of overcharges and damages to goods in transit
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
