Transportation Clerk, 1st Shift

As a Transportation Clerk, you’ll provide administrative support to our transportation team and feel a sense of accomplishment by multi-tasking and organizing assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining records on the destination, weight, and charges on all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Performing data entry, labeling, and filing, generating import files, assisting with the tracking and expediting of freight, and freight and broker invoice auditing
- Ensuring the accuracy of rate charges by verifying the classification of materials with the rate schedule
- Monitoring pending shipments related to the shipping schedules of purchases issued and updating the traffic record system
- Confirming information, providing product information, resolving problems, determining the method of shipment and shipping items, and maintaining records
- Scanning or hand-entering information into a computer
- Creating bills of lading, shipment reports, and processing incoming and outgoing shipment records
- Maintaining records of overcharges and damages to goods in transit
- Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

$18.00 / hour

1st Shift - Sunday - Thursday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
