About the role
As a Specialist, Billing on the 4PL Warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing tied to warehouse operations. This includes reviewing and validating invoices related to fulfillment activities—such as storage, handling, value-added services, and outbound shipments—while proactively identifying discrepancies, resolving billing issues, and supporting timely invoicing to customers.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with warehouse operations teams, AP/AR, and customers to resolve open billing tasks and ensure alignment on services rendered
- Review warehouse activity data (inbound, outbound, storage, and value-added services) to validate billing accuracy and prevent duplicate or missed charges
- Proactively identify and resolve billing discrepancies, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and minimal customer impact
- Act as a liaison between operations, finance, and customer teams to remove barriers preventing orders and services from being billed accurately
- Drive a customer-first mindset by ensuring billing reflects agreed pricing, service levels, and contractual requirements
- Develop a working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), billing tools, and internal technologies that support 4PL operations
- Coincide with transportation partners and internal teams to obtain required documentation supporting end-to-end warehouse and fulfillment billing
- Continuously evaluate and improve billing workflows to reduce cycle time—from warehouse execution to client invoicing—to enhance process efficiency
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, billing, audit, accounts receivable/payable, or logistics coordination
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Transportation/Logistics (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working in warehouse or fulfillment environments, with exposure to WMS platforms (e.g., Logiwa or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to operational and financial detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and insights to operations, finance, and customer stakeholders
