About the role
The Transportation and Logistics MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-12, will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities, advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management, manage and perform work for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of installation deployment processes, ensure appropriate Transportation and Logistics readiness operation changes are implemented to enhance performance of command readiness operations, represent the wing regarding Transportation and Logistics readiness issues at meetings within the organization and at conferences with JFHQ-State, USPFO, NG, MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DoD, and other agencies.
Responsibilities
- Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- Manage and perform work for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of installation deployment processes.
- Ensure appropriate Transportation and Logistics readiness operation changes are implemented to enhance performance of command readiness operations.
- Represent the wing regarding Transportation and Logistics readiness issues at meetings within the organization and at conferences with JFHQ-State, USPFO, NG, MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DoD, and other agencies.
- Meet and confer with various stakeholders to negotiate mutually satisfactory agreements, identify and resolve Transportation and Logistics readiness matters, and ensure concerted action by involved parties.
Requirements
- Compatible Military Grade and Assignment Required Prior To The Effective Date Of Placement.
- This Is An Excepted Service Position That Requires Membership In a Compatible Military Assignment In The Employing State's National Guard.
- Applicants Who Are Not Currently a Member Of The National Guard Must Be Eligible For Immediate Membership.
- Areas Of Consideration: All permanent, on-board, Title 32 Employees within the New Jersey National Guard All New Jersey National Guard members (M-Day, Traditional, Active Guard Reserve, and Drill-Status Guardsmen) Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey National Guard Military Grades: O-1 to O-4 Compatible Military Assignments: 021R3 Selectee has one (1) year to obtain required AFSC Military Grade.
Qualifications
- Must Have Experience, Education Or Training In The Following: The ability to analyze and utilize good judgment in the Transportation and Logistics field Utilizing computer and automation systems
