About the role
This isn't a seat where you'll just run reports. You'll own how we think about freight: where the dollars go, why, and how to bring that cost down without ever compromising service.
Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation spend across every mode — FTL, LTL, intermodal, and parcel — and turn the data into a clear story
- Build the dashboards and KPI reporting that drive our freight cost-per-pound reduction goals
- Lead network optimization: routing, consolidation, mode selection, and carrier utilization
- Support carrier negotiations and freight RFPs with real analytical firepower
- Run freight bill audits, chase down discrepancies, and protect every dollar of freight spend
- Partner across Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Accounting — and bring your findings straight to the leadership table
Requirements
- 3+ years in transportation, logistics, freight analysis, or supply chain
- Advanced Excel skills and a genuine love of data; bonus points for Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with freight auditing, carrier management, and cost analysis
- A bachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- ERP/TMS experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)
- The ability to translate complex numbers into recommendations any audience can act on
