Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end transportation sourcing events, including data preparation, scenario modeling, award analysis, and post-award validation.
- Partner with Category Managers to identify, quantify, and track transportation cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform network and pricing analyses to support carrier selection and transportation strategy decisions.
- Monitor and communicate transportation market trends, including capacity, rates, fuel, and disruptions.
- Design, develop, and maintain standardized dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Own transportation data models, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across business units.
- Automate recurring reporting and data processes using tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, and other digital solutions.
- Use AI-enabled capabilities to enhance analysis, forecasting, and reporting efficiency.
- Improve data pipelines and reduce manual effort through scalable, sustainable solutions.
- Establish and maintain data collection standards, templates, and validation logic.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive standardization across transportation analytics workflows.
- Contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Support supply chain network optimization initiatives using design and modeling tools to evaluate distribution networks and transportation flows.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Strategy teams to evaluate trade-offs across cost, service, capacity, and long-term network strategy.
- Develop and run scenario analyses for strategic decisions such as facility location, customer sourcing optimization, and capacity planning.
- Translate complex optimization outputs into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience in a purchasing or supply chain environment.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building reports, dashboards, and data-driven business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data modeling and Power Query; VBA is a plus.
- Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboarding and visualization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and transportation management systems preferred.
- Exposure to supply chain design and optimization tools, or a willingness to learn advanced modeling techniques.
- Understanding of network optimization concepts such as cost-to-serve, routing optimization, and facility location modeling is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytics into practical business recommendations.
- Proactive, self-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% in support of projects and supplier relationship management.
