Transportation Aide - CNA

About the role

This important role ensures residents are safely transported to and from appointments and activities while receiving attentive care. Success in this position requires professionalism, strong patient care skills, and safe driving practices at all times.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and scheduled activities
• Ensure resident comfort and monitor safety throughout transport
• Observe and report any changes in residents' condition during transport
• Assist residents with ambulation and transfer using assistive devices and proper technique
• Monitor and record vital signs when needed during transport
• Support the team by assisting with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• At least 25 years old (for insurance requirements)
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas
• Ability to pass the DMV check and qualify for company insurance
• Completion of the Employee Driver Proficiency program
• Strong communication, patience, and attention to detail
• Comfortable with both caregiving and safe vehicle operation
