Physical Demands

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily equipment assignments for private fleet drivers.
  • Dispatch drivers to cover routes efficiently and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Manage driver issues, including equipment breakdowns, accidents, and scheduling challenges.
  • Accept or decline back-hauls based on driver availability and delivery schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and manage TMS system.
  • Handle store-related transportation issues, including "Where's my truck" calls.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and AutoZone safety policies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program.
  • Experience with driver dispatch, fleet coordination, and DOT compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems.

Skills

  • Experience using transportation management software and on-board computer systems.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations, routing, and back-haul coordination.

Benefits

  • Salary range: Min $50,600 Mid $67,500 Max $84,500
