About the Role

The Milestone Transport Service Driver L1 is responsible for safely driving and delivering materials and goods to support the Transport Service Team in daily service operations. This full‑time, onsite position works in environments that may include large warehouses, data centers, and internal transport services.

Responsibilities

  • Collect inventory/goods from the designated collection point and ensure all client documents are complete and compliant.
  • Secure inventory/goods in the vehicle in an organized manner to ensure safe transportation.
  • Provide input to the Transport Service Dispatcher for daily planning, considering road conditions, traffic, local restrictions, and environment.
  • Use GPS navigation apps and local knowledge to deliver inventory/goods to client endpoints efficiently and safely.
  • Transport inventory/goods by box truck and cargo van (no commercial driver’s license required) following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct pre‑trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
  • Assist in scheduling regular maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and report any issues to management.
  • Operate vehicles safely in inclement weather such as snow or ice.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of inventory/goods in good condition to clients.
  • Maintain professional interactions with Milestone and client colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Unload inventory/goods at the destination and obtain client signatures on required paperwork.
  • Apply transport safety best practices and 5S for safety and organization.
  • Complete all assigned training and attend operational meetings supporting transport service execution.
  • Maintain timely attendance and present a professional appearance.
  • Lift boxes up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Communicate effectively in English.

Requirements

  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical exam (U.S. only).
  • Willingness to be challenged and learn new skills, including inventory control and workflow management.
  • Proficiency with computers, iPad, and iPhone.
  • Physical ability to perform labor in a dynamic environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to work with instruction as part of a larger team and independently complete tasks.
  • Agility to manage changing workload priorities as directed by the Transport Service Dispatcher.
  • Positive, respectful, and professional attitude.
  • Basic workplace safety competency.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of box‑truck driving experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of material handling in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center (a plus).
  • Proficiency in Windows, Apple (Mac and iPad), and peripheral devices.
  • Versatile, flexible, and enthusiastic about constantly changing priorities.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely, sound decisions.
  • Understanding of all safety requirements and precautions.

Pay

Estimated pay range: USD $25.76 – $28.00 per hour (Non‑Exempt).
