Transport Refrigeration Service Technician

About the role

Interstate Power Systems is seeking an experienced Transport Refrigeration Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Carrier Transicold, Thermo King, and APU systems for over-the-road trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair Carrier and Thermo King refrigeration units - Service and troubleshoot APUs, diesel engines, electrical, and climate control systems - Perform preventive maintenance and inspections - Utilize diagnostic software and OEM troubleshooting tools - Repair electrical, refrigeration, and control system components - Document repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements

- 3+ years of transport refrigeration experience - Strong Carrier and Thermo King diagnostic and repair skills - Experience working on APUs - Knowledge of diesel, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems - Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals - EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred - Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
