Transport Nurse

About the role

This role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build positive relationships. It involves leading others and taking appropriate action when needed. The incumbent must safely secure seat belts and shoulder harnesses in aircraft or ambulance without modifications, tolerate the stresses of flight and medical transport, and provide patient care in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Respond to visual, verbal, and non-verbal commands
• Communicate effectively in high-pressure environments
• Lift, push, or pull at least 150 lbs
• Provide patient care in confined spaces during medical transport

Requirements

• Minimum of three years' experience in Neonatal or Pediatric critical care or Emergency Department
• Certifications required within specified timeframes:
  • CCRN or C-NPT
  • PFCCS
  • NRP
  • ACLS
• Ability to work in environments with exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
