Transport Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Patient Transport Manager oversees the daily operations of the Central Transportation Department in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include managing the movement of patients, equipment, and linen throughout the facility, dispatching staff, and tracking activities using Teletracking software. Provides leadership and support to transportation supervisors and staff, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures. Coordinates staffing, assigns tasks, and maintains a clean, safe environment. Ensures excellent customer service by supervising transportation requests, assisting with transport as needed, and conducting daily rounds to monitor performance and satisfaction. Prepares employee evaluations, tracks departmental metrics, and seeks continuous process improvements. Qualifications include supervisory or management experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, healthcare or patient transportation experience preferred, strong leadership and communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with systems like EPIC. Experience managing union staff and transportation of linen or equipment is advantageous. Focuses on safety, quality, team development, and delivering exceptional service in a dynamic healthcare environment.
