Transport and Clinical Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth operations by coordinating and managing schedules for nursing staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals, focusing on efficient staffing, resident care needs, and compliance with regulations.
• Transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other activities, both within the facility and to off-site locations.
• Aid residents in and out of vehicles, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facility's transportation vehicles, including routine checks and reporting any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation routes, times, and any incidents or issues encountered during transport.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and facility staff regarding transportation arrangements and any concerns.
• Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and facility policies regarding transportation, including proper use of seatbelts, wheelchair restraints, and other safety equipment.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise during transportation, such as resident discomfort or vehicle malfunctions, and take appropriate action.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and their families, creating a positive experience for all involved.
• May also be responsible for:
• Picking up and delivering supplies or equipment
• Assisting with loading and unloading residents
• Ensuring residents have necessary medical equipment during transport
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
