Clinical Scheduler
About the role
The Full-Time Clinical Scheduler position at MUSC/Florence, SC in Radiation/Oncology is available.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient scheduling functions and checks out duties in addition to a significant amount of higher-level work.
- May include a combination of TES (transaction editing system) duties, medical coding, lead responsibilities, financial coordination, etc.
- Makes outbound calls to confirm patient appointments within the division.
- Works closely with prior authorization teams to ensure patients are scheduled within insurance allotment periods.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with ability to read Business Office policies and procedures.
- Previous experience or course work preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1 year previous experience or course work preferred.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using EPIC and TES systems.
