Transmission Work Planner | Muskogee, OK
About the role
ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Work Planner to join our team. This position is ideal for entry-level and experienced professionals with backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related fields. The role involves identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines, submitting inspection results with recommendations, planning, directing, and coordinating tree clearance activities, and serving as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
- Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews
- Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
- Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
- Perform post-inspection quality assurance of tree work completed by contractors
Requirements
- 2 or 4-year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or closely related field
- OR 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or other related field
- Versatile computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Competent in GIS integrated data collection software/hardware
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and managing geographical areas for vegetation activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
- Multi-tasking and strong time management skills
- Able to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules
- Available nights and weekends as needed for weekend on-call schedule
- Able to hike for extended periods to access lines throughout the state
- Valid driver's license required

$18 to $27.50 based on certifications and experience
