Transmission Line Project Engineer (PE)
About the role

We are currently seeking Transmission Line Project Engineers to join our Power Delivery team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transmission line designs, project management, and client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical aspects and deliverables for transmission lines design using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
- Coordinate the preparation of construction release packages, including plan and profile drawings, structure load trees, assembly details, stringing charts, foundation schedules, and bill of materials.
- Assign tasks and provide guidance to junior team members, conducting quality control reviews of their work.
- Identify and implement learning opportunities for junior team members through job shadowing, specific project tasks, and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Conduct engineering analyses to develop design options and provide input on specific project design issues.
- Assist with preparing cost estimates and schedules, attending client meetings, and leading design reviews.
- Manage multiple tasks for various projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Perform site visits during the design, construction, and as-built phases of projects, including participating in field reviews or construction observations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Power Market Sector design software
- Experience in developing project manhour and cost estimates, and schedules
- Experience with foundations design using software such as L-Pile, Caisson, or MFAD
- Experience working with renewables developers and/or interconnecting renewables
