Transmission Line Engineer

Responsibilities

Create project scope documents.
Perform finite element design modeling using PLS-CADD software.
Develop engineering design of structures and foundations.
Create staking sheets, sag charts, and other construction exhibits.
Produce material and construction specifications.
Perform other design tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years' design engineering experience, project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Able to work in a team environment
• A commitment to quality and accuracy
• A willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules
• A PE license or the commitment to progress towards PE licensure is preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of transmission engineering principals and applicable codes, standards, and design tools
• Experience with basic project management execution skills, and the ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team is a plus

• Occasional travel/driving is required
