Job Summary and Qualifications
The Transition to Practice Coordinator is responsible for ensuring consistent operation of RN Residency/RN Fellowship programs, HHCCA Preceptor, and other transition to practice programs. They serve as the primary point of contact and coordinate communication with stakeholders.
What You Will Do in This Role
- Leads coordination, management, facilitation, and evaluation of onboarding and orientation programs for new Registered Nurses.
- Provides and assists with orientation/onboarding and transition to practice programs to promote employee retention.
- Maintains regular meetings with key stakeholders to verify participant requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
Professional Role Development
- Participates in lifelong learning to promote personal development.
- Identifies professional development needs of individual staff.
- Aids in identifying areas for individual growth in current roles and grooming for advancement.
- Directs staff to career advancement resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Education preferred, but not required if the undergraduate degree is in nursing.
- 5+ years of experience in an acute care facility preferred.
- 3+ years as a clinical educator or preceptor preferred.
- Licensed RN with a current, valid license as an RN, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Basic Life Support certified.
- NPD Practitioner Certification preferred.
