The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers RWJMS invites applications for a faculty position in the Division of Transfusion Medicine. The Division provides Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH).
Position Highlights
- Provide transfusion medicine and blood banking services across Rutgers, RWJUH, and RWJBarnabas Health partners
- Deliver complex transfusion consultations, stem cell collection and infusion, cellular therapy (adult and pediatric), apheresis, and support for complex coagulation conditions
- Collaborate with institutional leadership, physician colleagues, and nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and in departmental conferences and grand rounds
- Contribute to departmental quality initiatives and process improvements
- Promote the program regionally and nationally at academic conferences
- Engage in scholarly and research activities
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree required
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology
- Board certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine by the American Board of Pathology
