Transfer Station Spotter
Position Responsibilities And Accountability
The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.
Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up
Picking up litter
Picking up and sweeping windblown trash
General site clean up
Various utility tasks as needed
Learning the operations of transfer station
Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
Spotting Trucks
Position Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience.
PREFERABLY in a labor type position. - Experience operating equipment is a plus.
- The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.
- Working Conditions And Physical Effort
- Exposed to different weather year round.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Extensive physical activity.
- Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
