About the role
The Transfer Credit Evaluator and ASSIST Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of articulation agreements and transfer information within the ASSIST database. This position serves as the campus liaison to the ASSIST Coordination Site (ACS) and ensures that articulation data is current, accurate, and accessible to students, counselors, and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate incoming transcripts for transfer and advanced placement credit
- Process credit for continuing students
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and academic standards
- Enter evaluated credits into Banner
- Assist with non-traditional credit (AP, IB, CLEP, military)
- Resolve discrepancies related to transfer credit
- Collaborate with Admissions, Advising, and other campus partners to ensure a smooth transfer experience for students
Requirements
- Knowledge of degree conferral policies and best practice
- Knowledge of DegreeWorks, Banner and Transfer Evaluations Systems (TES)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a Registrar’s Office
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the California Community Colleges (CCC), California State University (CSU), and University of California (UC) systems
- Experience working with the ASSIST system
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple departments or institutions
