Primary Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes course descriptions and transfer of credit policies to determine transfer of credit eligibility.
- Interprets course descriptions, including foreign and domestic transcripts for courses and units completed, identifies upper and lower division courses, converts quarter units into semester units, and computes units and grade points to determine transfer equivalency credit.
- Utilizes resources including TES, online college catalogs, course descriptions/syllabi, correspondence with the institutions involved, articulation agreements, and other appropriate reference materials to evaluate academic records.
- Communicates with colleagues and academic advisors to ensure accurate decisions on course equivalencies and processes.
- Generates and prepares monthly transfer articulation reports.
- Enters coursework and established equivalencies into the BANNER system.
- Determines that all credentials required for transcript evaluations have been received, are authentic, and official.
- Determines if institutions are accredited; evaluates transfer transcript coursework for TJC equivalencies.
- Cross-trains with team members to fulfill office duties and ensure efficient operations; answers the telephone and responds to email inquiries; prints and mails documents, maintains filing, and creates or updates documents.
- Reviews course catalogs from all Texas state colleges for new courses, changes of course numbers, programs, and grading systems. Works closely with the manager to develop a library of materials & training manual and update guides, incorporating new information into transfer equivalency guides, and other tools used to assist the transcript evaluators.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Required Experience: One year of experience working in a registrar's office/ transcript evaluations
- Preferred Qualifications: Two year of experience working in a registrar's office/ transcript evaluations
- Expertise in transfer of credit scenarios involving a wide variety of degree-granting institutions.
