Transcriptionist

About the role

We are recruiting experienced language professionals for a multilingual AI data project. This is a remote, freelance, project-based opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Transcribing audio recordings from scratch
• Reviewing and correcting machine-generated transcripts
• Segmenting audio and identifying speakers
• Adding timestamps and labeling pauses, fillers, overlapping speech, background noise, and other audio events
• Following detailed project guidelines and meeting quality targets

Requirements

• C1–C2 proficiency and idiomatic fluency in English/Spanish, with excellent comprehension of contemporary spoken language and a strong command of spelling, grammar, punctuation, regional varieties, and colloquial expressions
• Good working proficiency in English, sufficient to understand project guidelines, training materials, and written feedback
• Previous experience in transcription, subtitling, speech annotation, linguistic data annotation, or similar language work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply detailed guidelines consistently
• Reliable computer, internet connection, and headphones

Pay

$20 per hour
