Responsibilities

• Is proficient in utilizing the Rush contract management system, Agiloft, for all contract processing from initial draft through execution.
• Reviews and/or drafts various legal contracts and other documents and advises internal clients of potential legal risks.
• Affords assistance in day to day management of Agiloft contract records.
• Educates and supports end users who need assistance in following the Agiloft contracting processes.
• Tracks and manages Agiloft assigned portfolio of agreements, validating user submissions and auditing attachments.
• If requested, negotiates changes to contracts directly with vendor in consultation with the business leaders and under the direction of the Senior Associate General Counsel.
• Manages incoming requests for the legal review of corporate transactions on behalf of Rush and its affiliated entities via tasks assigned by the Sourcing transactional team.
• Maintains a library of pre-approved form documents, contract clauses, templates, and historical documents, and adds or revises material, as needed.
• Performs general corporate transactional support for Rush and its affiliated entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5 years of paralegal experience with 3 years as a transactional paralegal.
• Familiarity with the health care industry and its unique issues is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point is required.
• Strong critical thinking, problem analysis and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
