Transactional Associate- Environmental with Commercial Real Estate Investment & Development focus (mid-level)- Philadelphia

About the role

Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office is seeking a mid-level Associate with 3-6 years of law firm experience to join its globally recognized Environmental Practice Group.

Responsibilities

• Works with the transactions team, focusing on environmental diligence and the mitigation of environmental risks associated with the acquisition, development, management, leasing, financing, and sale of commercial real estate.
• Oversees environmental diligence and risk management for many leading national real estate investment funds.
• Evaluates environmental risk, oversees related regulatory compliance programs, structures brownfield redevelopment efforts, and negotiates the environmental aspects of sophisticated deals across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Dedicated interest in the environmental aspects of commercial real estate investment and development.
• Membership in the PA Bar in good standing.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Excellent academic record.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• The ability to be highly responsive in a fast-paced, high-volume, deal flow environment.
