Transaction Advisory Consulting Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the execution of consulting engagements of clients across multiple industries;
  • Ensure work is completed on time and within budget;
  • Identify out of scope areas and communicate with client or Partner/Practice Leader/Senior Manager as observed;
  • Collaborate plan engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk;
  • Adapt strategy and advise client of recommended changes as appropriate;
  • Understand the scope of the engagement, recommend revisions as appropriate, and provide input on client retention and fee structure;
  • Participate in the presentation of engagement results to those responsible for oversight;
  • Delegate work effectively based on risk, team capabilities, engagement status and staff development opportunities;
  • Visit client onsite (if needed) for inquiries, assignments;
  • Answer client calls and emails in a timely manner with a solution-oriented approach;
  • Grow networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage;
  • Develop the service line by working with leadership team to advance thought leadership, client and people development (direct management as well as coaching);
  • Demonstrate company values and alignment with the firm’s mission and long-term vision;
  • Ensure client deliverables are met within expectations, responsible for handling any escalated issues that may arise;
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues;
  • Participate in continuous learning activities and active research to improve and develop own and others’ technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively interface with clients, firm management and team members with varied technical aptitudes;
  • Creative and innovative approach around concepts and projects;
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, intellectual curiosity, and listening skills;
  • Problem solving skills; ability to shift focus and adapt to changes;
  • Education, Experience and Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field of business; Master’s degree a plus;
    • 6+ years experience in consulting field with understanding of core accounting and finance principles (consideration given to relevant experience in accounting or finance areas);
    • Certification and/or recognition from industry professional organizations preferred;

  • Coach staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback;
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training team members;

  • Proactively and effectively communicate information regarding status issues to team members both written and oral;
  • Hold self and others accountable for assigned work; seek and provide continuous feedback to learn and develop in role;

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed;
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as an adding machine, copy machine, and computer printer;
  • Communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external team members/vendors as needed;
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds;
  • Able to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed;
  • Able to travel to other office locations as needed, overnight travel may be required.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000
