Essential Functions
- Conduct initial training for new employees
- Aid new employees in registering and creating necessary agency systems accounts (e.g., Microsoft 365, Outlook email, OnTarget, KTBS, NQC cyber security training, etc.)
- Review current agency policy and procedures with new employees
- Schedule shadowing training for new employees and monitor their progress, addressing concerns and gathering feedback
- Check-in with new employees for at least the first 9 months to a year
- Continually assess the training process to gauge effectiveness, based on new employee performance, staff retention rate, employee feedback, etc.
- Conduct remedial training, annual training, situational training (e.g., plan of correction to address an incident), and introduce new training topics
- Adapt training methods to meet the learning needs of participants
- Engage participants using various modes of presentation (instructor-led, video followed by group discussion, group activity, etc.)
- Ensure training content aligns with LNB and ODP values/philosophies, state regulations, etc., and monitor for updates/revisions
- Offer a variety of training, including 6400 regulations, healthy eating/lifestyles, cleaning, cooking, etc.
- Offer training on various days/times of the week to accommodate employees' schedules (including offering evening and weekend training times)
- Obtain First Aid/CPR Instructor Certification
- Obtain Medication Administration Trainer Certification
- Serve on agency Admin Review Committee for certified investigations as needed
- Serve as a member on the agency's safety committee
- Participate in agency functions including fundraising
- Attend all applicable meetings
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with staff through all channels of available communication
- Participate in the management of the agency's social media accounts where applicable, adhering to agency guidelines on the social media accounts
- Maintain confidentiality of both individuals in service and staff
- Refrain from gossip/negativity and keep emotions in check when dealing with difficult situations
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the position
- Fill in direct care shift(s) in emergencies
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid PA driver's license
- 2 years driving experience
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English
- Direct care experience with IDD is necessary
- Participate and successfully complete required training (includes but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Med Administration, Safe Crisis Management)
