About the role

Dime Commercial Bank is hiring a Training Specialist I at its headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The specialist will facilitate training classes for retail banking teller and platform staff, demonstrating fundamental training concepts such as facilitation, instruction, and classroom management to ensure optimal learning. The role includes coaching and motivating employees, providing developmental feedback during new‑hire and recurrent training, and staying current on Dime products, services, and regulatory requirements. This position is onsite and not remote; applicants must attach a recent resume.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of Dime products and services to provide an overview within the class.
• Maintain current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
• Perform administrative functions related to training and development, including assignments and recordkeeping.
• Schedule and coordinate training classes, create appointments, and manage pre‑training materials and follow‑up.
• Serve as a mentor for retail banking teller and platform staff.
• Keep abreast of procedural and process changes, updating all related training materials and programs accordingly.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new training classes.
• Follow up with managers, mentors, buddies, and new hires to evaluate individual training and ensure basic position requirements are met, repeating training as necessary.
• Evaluate and identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs.
• Identify areas of opportunity to facilitate targeted learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum 1 year retail banking experience (preferred).
• Cash‑handling experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of core retail banking applications (preferred).
• Ability to travel to both training locations (Hauppauge and Rockville Centre) and to various branches as needed.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $45,000 to $56,000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure, certifications, and location.
