Training Specialist

About the role

This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for Sterile Processing (SPD) and Endoscopy staff, ensuring competency and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Creating interactive learning modules
• Conducting needs assessments
• Monitoring training effectiveness
• Maintaining certification records
• Providing individualized education
• Supporting perioperative departments
• Overseeing new hire orientation
• Managing the education calendar
• Supporting clinical, consultative, and educational activities within perioperative, sterile processing, and endoscopy areas

Qualifications

• Current certification from HSPA or CBSPD
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Five years of SPD experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial role
• At least three years as an SPD technician
• Preferred certifications: CER, CIS, and CHL
