Training Specialist
About the role
The Training Specialist will improve the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that enhance employee workplace performance in alignment with company’s core values. This role involves performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials, and managing all phases of training interventions. The Training Specialist will interface with Operations and Human Resources to understand cross-functional training and developmental needs, addressing them through robust training initiatives that produce short-term and long-term results.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical, job-specific, or soft skill training.
- Translate organizational requirements into trainings that enhance knowledge, proficiency, or personnel development.
- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their results.
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals.
- Design and expand training and development programs based on organizational and individual needs.
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behavior.
- Assist with talent management, succession planning, and personnel development.
- Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and incorporate improvements into training programs.
- Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs and revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
- Devise, track, and update individual learning plans and departmental curriculum.
- Establish cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and standardization of processes from a learning and development perspective.
- Advance and support compliance or professional development training delivery on site.
- Understand e-learning techniques and, where appropriate, create and/or deliver e-learning packages, programs, or techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ work experience in a regulated environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, execute, and communicate in English.
- Strong math skills (statistical).
- Strong troubleshooting and computer/software skills.
Pay
The hiring rate for this position is $68,480–$77,040 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
