About the Role
Addison Group is seeking a MANDT Trainer to support our client’s internal Training Department. This role will be responsible for coordinating and delivering MANDT System training programs while helping ensure staff have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and effective support. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering training within a DDA, behavioral health, human services, or another regulated environment. Candidates with strong training backgrounds who are interested in becoming MANDT certified may also be considered, as certification sponsorship is available for the right individual.
MANDT is a relationship-based training system designed to help staff build trust, improve communication, understand behaviors, reduce escalation, and respond safely during challenging situations. The program focuses on creating environments where individuals feel supported and secure.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate MANDT System training sessions covering relational, conceptual, technical, and advanced technical components.
- Coordinate training schedules and support the delivery of onsite learning programs.
- Provide hands-on instruction and evaluate staff understanding of MANDT techniques and principles.
- Maintain accurate training records, certification documentation, and compliance-related materials.
- Partner with internal teams and leadership to support ongoing employee development initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to training programs and department operations.
- Help promote best practices for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of training experience within a DDA, behavioral health, human services, or other regulated environment OR 1+ year of MANDT training experience.
- Active MANDT Trainer certification preferred; candidates with expired certifications or relevant experience willing to become certified will be considered.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships and effectively coach others.
- Patient, empathetic, and observant approach when working with staff and individuals receiving services.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
Additional Details
- Full-time, onsite position.
- Must be comfortable being on your feet and demonstrating training techniques during sessions.
- Weekend training support required approximately 3-4 days per month with flexibility based on scheduling needs.
- MANDT certification is preferred; however, candidates with DDA or behavioral training experience may be considered. Certification sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
- Interview process includes one onsite interview with the Training Department.
- Target start date is approximately one week after offer acceptance.
Pay
$24-$26/hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to work 3-4 weekend days per month for scheduled trainings. Standard hours are 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. This role requires 5 days onsite.
