About the Role

The Training & Development Specialist supports the execution of organizational development and learning initiatives that strengthen workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance across a rapidly growing, multi-state organization. This role designs, develops, and facilitates training programs aligned with defined business goals, supporting corporate, sales, field, and operational teams. It partners closely with the Organizational Development Lead and Human Resources team to implement leadership development, team development, and change management initiatives through targeted learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, eLearning, and blended training programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and learning experiences for employees and leaders across corporate and field environments.
  • Support organizational development and change management initiatives through training and communication programs.
  • Translate defined business needs into practical, engaging learning solutions in partnership with the Organizational Development Lead and HR.
  • Develop leadership, team development, and role-based learning content to support performance and readiness.
  • Partner with HR and functional leaders to identify development needs and learning priorities.
  • Measure training and development program effectiveness using performance outcomes, participation data, and feedback.
  • Maintain training materials, content standards, and learning documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Support organizational communication initiatives tied to learning, development, and change.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for instructional design, facilitation, and learning best practices.
  • Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, or a related HR discipline.
  • Direct experience designing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience facilitating training for both corporate and field-based populations preferred.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, content development tools, and training platforms preferred.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of training, instructional design, and organizational development practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate engaging instructor-led training sessions.
  • Experience developing eLearning modules, job aids, and training assets using content authoring tools including Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise).
  • Experience supporting leadership development, team development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of change management and organizational communication principles.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into practical learning solutions.
  • Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency in learning delivery.
  • Professional discretion when handling employee and organizational information.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to participate in virtual and in-person training sessions and meetings.
  • Visual acuity required for reviewing training materials and documentation.
