Training Specialist
About the role
We are seeking an organized, engaging, and collaborative Training Specialist to help develop and deliver learning programs across our organization. Working alongside our COO, Human Resources, Operations, you'll help build a training experience that equips employees with the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others learn, is comfortable presenting to groups, and wants to build a career in learning and development. As our training function continues to grow, this position offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and shape the future of employee development at Sundance.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs
- Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions
- Provide post-training support and coaching to reinforce learning
- Travel periodically to communities and company meetings to deliver training and support implementation
- Create training guides, presentations, videos, job aids, quick reference materials, and standard operating procedures
- Translate complex processes into clear, practical learning resources
- Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to gather and organize training content
- Develop role-specific learning materials for leasing, property management, maintenance, and corporate teams
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, completion reports, and documentation
- Support company-wide training initiatives, software implementations, and policy rollouts
- Ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and consistent across departments
- Collect employee feedback and evaluate training effectiveness
- Recommend improvements to training materials and delivery methods
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the employee learning experience
- Auxiliary with additional learning and development initiatives as the training program continues to grow
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in training, learning and development, human resources, education, property management, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable presenting and facilitating training for individuals and groups
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to create professional, engaging learning materials
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable learning new software and teaching others how to use it
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Multifamily property management experience is a plus
