Responsibilities
- Design and deliver orientation, ongoing training, and skills assessments for Sterile Processing Department (SPD) staff.
- Ensure safe and accurate instrument reprocessing aligned with AAMI, AORN, and hospital standards.
- Partner with SPD leaders and perioperative teams to identify learning needs and update training curricula.
- Support the integration of new technologies and promote best practices to minimize risks.
- Enhance patient safety through education and competency programs in a pediatric healthcare setting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in sterile processing, surgical instrumentation, or healthcare education.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization standards and protocols.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
