MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Training Specialist to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Provide standards, services, and guidance on IT-related training programs designed to enable government agency personnel to use information technologies and systems more productively.
- Develop, deliver, and/or coordinate training courses and materials that address specific agency needs.
- Conduct training needs analysis and peer review of training material for accuracy.
- Maintain policy and standards for training throughout the development process; ensure training content is accurate based on outside feedback.
- Monitor training changes and updates for dissemination and implementation.
- Prepare training documentation; analyze existing training materials and make recommendations to update training processes to satisfy customer objectives.
- Coordinate training activities according to the training program; manage multiple training projects simultaneously, involving organizing, planning, and executing small-scale training projects from vision through implementation.
- Use independent decision-making to design and develop training materials, reference materials, presentation materials, and job aids; prepare student materials (course manuals, workbooks, instructor notes, and handouts).
- Ensure all training materials are clear, concise, instructionally sound, and directly support learning objectives; ensure materials are 508 compliant.
- Monitor training tasks in support of the goals of the Contractor Program Manager and the government sponsor(s) using standard training standards and software.
- Provide input to the Training Manager and the Contractor Program Manager on areas of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or Information Technology OR Information Technology certifications (MS-MCT, CompTIA CTT+, Agile, etc.).
- Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
- Thorough knowledge of appropriate hardware and software (e.g., PCs, Microsoft Windows, MS Office).
- Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools.
- Must be able to travel at least 5% domestically and internationally.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hotkeys and hotstrings.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with multimedia development tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.).
- Experience with webinar software (Webex, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Experience with applications such as ServiceNow and Salesforce.
- Prior technical training experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to provide updates, briefings, or interface with co-workers, leadership, and customers.
- Must be able to work in an office environment and freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.
- Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptops, desktops, printers, fax machines, etc.
- Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
- Must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, IT service requests, work orders, etc.
