Responsibilities
- Create and improve training curriculum and instructional materials related to control valve maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
- Lead in-person training sessions at Emerson campuses, Impact Partner offices, and PSP service centers.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, approachable content for learners with varied experience levels.
- Provide coaching and guidance to technicians to strengthen troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Teach advanced concepts, including diagnostic communication protocols and digital valve tuning.
- Identify opportunities for new training methods, tools, and delivery formats to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with product teams and subject-matter experts to maintain technical accuracy.
- Mentor less experienced training specialists and support their development.
- Travel up to 50% to support training and audit needs and assist with hands-on workshop setups.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with control valves, instrumentation, or related industrial equipment.
- Experience supporting technical learning, coaching, or training in any format.
- Comfort explaining complex topics to individuals with different learning styles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to stay organized, manage priorities, and work both independently and with teams.
- Basic proficiency with digital tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel up to 50% and occasionally lift or move training equipment (up to 75 pounds).

Skills
- Experience with Fisher™ control valves or instrumentation.
- Prior experience developing or delivering technical training for technicians or field service personnel.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles or hands-on technical teaching methods.
- Knowledge of digital valve diagnostics, communication protocols, or process control equipment.
