About the role
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining end-user training programs for the EDGAR 2.0 platform. Working as part of a cross-functional Agile team, this role develops learning materials, delivers instructor-led and virtual training sessions, maintains user documentation, and supports adoption of new platform features and business processes. The Training Specialist collaborates closely with Product Owners, UX designers, Business Analysts, Communications teams, Support teams, and stakeholders while leveraging AI-assisted content development tools to improve learning effectiveness, user adoption, and training efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, job aids, quick reference guides, knowledge articles, and training presentations.
- Deliver instructor-led training, virtual training sessions, demonstrations, office hours, and train-the-trainer programs.
- Coordinate training logistics, schedules, participant communications, attendance tracking, and training feedback collection.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX teams, Communications teams, Business Analysts, and Support teams to ensure training materials remain aligned with current platform functionality.
- Translate business processes, system workflows, and software release enhancements into clear, user-friendly training content.
- Support training readiness activities, user adoption initiatives, reporting, and continuous improvement of learning programs.
- Maintain training repositories, documentation standards, content version control, and knowledge management resources.
- Utilize AI-assisted content development tools to support drafting, editing, scenario creation, knowledge assessments, and training material development.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing and delivering technical or software application training programs.
- Experience creating user documentation, training materials, and instructional content.
- Experience delivering instructor-led and virtual training sessions.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (3 remote days) in Reston, VA, and client locations throughout the Washington, D.C. area as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, Communications, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred: ATD, CPTD, or other relevant training or instructional design certification.
- Preferred: Instructional Design or Adult Learning certification.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting Federal Government IT programs.
- Experience supporting enterprise software implementation or digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience developing software application training for enterprise users.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted learning content development and knowledge management tools.
