About the role

The AV Training Manager at Moove AV is responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of training and certification for validation drivers and supervisors worldwide. This role requires a systems-thinking approach and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Programmatic Ownership: Ensure training quality through certification integrity, audits, and continuous improvement.

  • Curriculum Management: Develop and maintain the training curriculum, assessment frameworks, and certification standards.

  • Safety Assurance: Maintain a strict safety standard with no exceptions for market pressures.

  • Cross-Functional Auditing: Conduct audits and partner with Safety and Operations to address performance gaps and risks.

  • Leadership Onboarding: Develop onboarding materials for new in-market Managers and Supervisors.

  • Local Empowerment: Support local teams in adapting the curriculum to their specific market needs and share their insights to refine the global standard.

  • Hands-on Certification: Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions and certify the first team in any new market before it goes live.

  • Capacity & Milestone Planning: Plan and execute the training roadmap for each market, ensuring alignment with safety requirements, hiring timelines, and fleet deployment schedules.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Align interdependencies across various departments and ensure the training plan reflects real-world safety needs and operational constraints.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential bottlenecks and deviations from the launch schedule and provide strategic support to keep the plan on track.

  • Reporting & Visibility: Establish and maintain a transparent system for tracking and reporting training progress and certification status.

  • Training Infrastructure & Readiness: Define requirements for facilitation space, equipment, and deployment pipelines, and oversee their implementation.

Requirements

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree required; preferred experience with Program Management certifications (e.g., PMI-PgMP, PMP, or CPTM).

  • Experience: 3-5 years in AV operations or training.

  • Programmatic Mindset: Ability to map dependencies, anticipate risks, and drive cross-functional roadmaps without formal authority.

  • Domain Expertise: Experience training, coaching, or mentoring validation/safety drivers, preferably with TTT or multi-site standardization work.

  • Deep Fluency: Knowledge of AV validation operations, disengagement protocols, and data logging.

  • Safety-First Track Record: Demonstrated history of balancing safety and operations, making safety-first decisions under pressure.

  • Curriculum Design: Comfortable designing validation driver curriculum and delivering it live when necessary.

  • Auditing Instincts: Ability to critically assess training delivery and program efficacy.

  • Travel: Comfortable with up to 40% travel for training, auditing, and hosting classes.
