ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows all applicable safety rules and encourages safe behavior in others
- Trains on all applicable safety and food safety and quality rules
- Updates Management on current training objectives and results on a daily basis
- Cohorts and provides one-on-one skills-based training to employees
- Leads by modeling desired behaviors and coaches other employees to do the same
- Identifies and uses training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things
- Accepts criticism and deals calmly and effectively with high stress situations
- Facilitates a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
- Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
- Provides one on one coaching sessions with employees in the department
- Responsible for maintaining training certification in Coach in assigned areas
- Assists in creating a training plan for new hires
- Aids in improving retention through relationship-building
- Maintains skill level in all other aspects of production for the department
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred
- 6 months or more in a food production environment a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, speak and write in English preferred
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to effectively respond to questions from employees, Supervisors, Quality Control Technicians, Maintenance and Managers
- Bilingual preferred
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations and perform necessary calculations for completing departmental paperwork
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- The employee must have the physical capacity to perform all production and production-related positions since the employee will be providing one-on-one training for these positions and must be able to show new employees how to perform their essential job functions
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions in both inside and outside environments
- The noise level in the work environment is usually at a level where OSHA required hearing protection is required
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management
- Training Leads will work when production is in process
- Saturdays and Sundays may be required
