Lead Teacher

About the Role

Village Children's Academy in Hinsdale is a licensed childcare center seeking a full-time Lead Teacher to support the following age group: 2-Year-Olds.

Qualifications

• CDA or at least 6 ECE college level credits
• Ability to pass all background checks

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, full-time, 7:45am-4:45pm

Compensation

• $19 - $22/hour, based on education and experience

Responsibilities

• Lead with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
• Implement activities that encourage each child's growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
