About the role

In this position you will manage, develop, and deliver comprehensive technical orientation programs designed to accelerate on-boarding and transition new personnel rapidly to operational readiness. Conducts high-impact classroom, laboratory, and field instruction of highly technical information, ensuring that foundational systems and critical compliance protocols are effectively transferred. Maintains, modernizes, and audits courseware to align with shifting operational baselines, while designing and administering validated written and practical performance examinations to objectively evaluate student progress. Additionally, drives continuous process improvement by implementing projects that optimize the on-boarding pipeline, executing rigorous training surveillance and self-inspection audits to guarantee strict compliance with regulations, and actively directing Art of the Possible (AoP) initiatives to eliminate training bottlenecks, maximize throughput, and enhance instructional productivity.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
  • The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
  • Personal data, to which the incumbent has access, is controlled by the Privacy Act of 1974 and must be safeguarded appropriately
  • This position is a Training Specialist Instructor required to provide training and support to multiple agencies on the installation

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  • Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.
  • Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.

Pay

2026 Salary Range: $40,736 - $97,087 yearly
