Description
The Orientation Trainer at Pilgrim’s is responsible for delivering new hire orientation and introductory training to ensure team members clearly understand company policies, safety requirements, job expectations, and company culture. This role supports compliance, retention, and onboarding effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions covering company overview, mission, values, and policies.
- Deliver training on attendance, timekeeping, safety, PPE, and food safety requirements.
- Conduct classroom, computer-based, and blended learning onboarding modules.
- Ensure completion of all onboarding documentation and training acknowledgements.
- Coordinate with HR, Safety, and department leadership prior to floor placement.
- Track and document training attendance and completion in HR or learning systems.
- Communicate company expectations related to conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hire questions and onboarding support.
- Maintain and update orientation materials and training resources.
- Support continuous improvement of the onboarding and orientation process.
- Comply with all company policies, regulatory, and food safety standards.
- Afford assistance with annual training of all team members.
Skills/Experience
- Previous training experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional communication and demeanor
- Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees
- Excellence presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to work in a plant/industrial environment
- Able to work effectively with a diverse workforce
Education Requirement
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but not required
- Experience in lieu of degree will be considered
