Training Design Intern
Overview
The Training Design Intern is a valuable resource for the GuidePoint Learning Team. This internship is designed for individuals passionate about instructional design, adult learning, and creating engaging educational content.
Roles and Responsibilities
Content Development: Assist in creating training materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training resources, videos, and job aids. This may include storytelling and branching scenarios to create more engaging content.
Instructional Design: Collaborate with the GuidePoint Learning team to analyze training needs, design curriculum, and ensure that content aligns with learning objectives and outcomes.
Multimedia Production: Support the development of multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and videos, to enhance training content.
Learning Management System (LMS): Assist in uploading and managing training content in the LMS, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for employees.
Evaluation and Feedback: Participate in the evaluation of training programs, collect feedback from participants, and make necessary improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
Project Coordination: Work on multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Are you a good fit for the role?
Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's or Master's program in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
Have a portfolio of between 3-5 artifacts.
Proficiency in using instructional design tools, such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Claude Design, etc.
Experience with a corporate LMS, such as Docebo, is preferred.
Microsoft Office skills appropriate to course development.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Creativity and an eye for detail.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Internship Details and Expectations
This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20/hr) running from August 31, 2026 - November 20, 2026.
This internship role is designed as a growth opportunity with the potential for conversion to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
The intern is expected to:
Work 25-29 hours between 9am-4pm EST Monday through Friday.
Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours.
Be located in the United States throughout the course of the internship.
While the internship does allow some flexible hours, the intern will often be required to attend trainings and meetings between the hours of 9am - 4pm EST, Monday - Friday. It is vital for the intern's development to attend these events, so we can only accept candidates who are largely available during these hours.
This position is not available for candidates living in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington State and Wyoming.
