Training Coordinator

Summary The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating training programs that ensure all employees in the meat processing plant are properly trained in food safety, occupational safety, quality standards, and operational procedures. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (USDA, HACCP, OSHA, GMP) and supports continuous improvement by building a skilled and safety-conscious workforce. Key Responsibilities Training Program Development & Delivery Coordinate and schedule internal and external training sessions, workshops, and orientationsMaintain training calendars, attendance records, and certificationsTrack completion of required compliance and safety trainingPrepare training materials, presentations, and communication for participants and facilitatorsSupport onboarding of new employees, including orientation logistics and documentationPartner with supervisors and department leaders to identify training needsEvaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys and participation reportsManage the Learning Management System (LMS) or training database to ensure accuracyAssist in creating and updating standard operating procedures, manuals, and job aidsCoordinate with external training vendors and maintain training-related invoices and budgetsProvide general administrative support to the HR or Training Department Compliance & Documentation Ensure all training programs comply with USDA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations, as well as company policies Maintain accurate training records, certificates, and audit-ready documentation Track employee compliance with required training modules (safety, food safety, sanitation, etc.) Support internal and external audits by providing training documentation and ensuring readiness Education And Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience) Two years of training and development, organizational development, instructional design or human resources or related experience preferred Bilingual preferred but not required Computer Skills Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn software. Other Skills And Abilities Display strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deal with frequent interruptions Office 365 competency Ability to cope with the physical and emotional stress of the position as employee may be subject to hostile or emotionally upset residents, personnel, and/or visitors Ability to function independently given assigned duties Ability to communicate, work, and interact with a variety of individuals Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
