About the Role

Ensure a world-class Team Member Orientation program is successful and work with all team members with the overall goal of reducing turnover. Provide administrative support for the TMX initiatives and work closely with the Production Manager, TMX Manager, and General Manager. Advance special TMX projects as assigned using skills, knowledge, and abilities gained through experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and coordinates New Hire Orientation program
  • Conducts all facility tours during orientation week
  • Schedules and coordinates cleaning details and tool training for new hires during orientation week
  • Ensures new hires have a thorough understanding of all information provided during orientation week
  • Coordinates regularly scheduled “Green Hat” meetings and reports any issues to leadership
  • Ensures the effectiveness of training provided and follows up with team members on their effectiveness in assigned department
  • Designs training presentations, materials, and exercises to reinforce understanding of manufacturing processes with solid experience in multiple departments
  • Understands DAPIA processes, BOSS, and plant safety
  • Interacts and assists all new hires throughout their first 90 days of employment, with daily communication for the first 30 days
  • Maintains Training Room and prepares for and assists with set up of all classes
  • Assists the TMX Manager with Team Member Experience initiatives and projects as needed
  • Works with Production Manager to select and provide training for trainers who lead job skills training
  • Travels to Home Office for completion of required training programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management preferred
  • Experience with training and instructing personnel
  • Strong facilitation, instruction, and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time
  • Computer literate (AS400, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively at all levels, including internal and external customers, peers, managers, and the home office
  • Bi-lingual in plants that are predominantly Spanish speaking
  • Capable of handling and maintaining highly confidential information

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information with others
  • Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Work primarily involves sitting/standing, up to 4 hours at a time
